Rosa Lorés Sanz
ROSA LORÉS (PhD) is a senior lecturer in the Department of English and German Studies of the University of Zaragoza, where she teaches linguistics and translation. She has edited books and published articles, in national and international journals, on systemic-functional grammar, pragmatics, translation, and the contrastive intercultural perspective (English-Spanish) applied to academic and specialized languages. She has focused on the rhetorical structure of academic genres and on the discursive role of interpersonal metadiscourse in corpora of academic texts in English and Spanish. More specifically, she has investigated the strategic use of lexicogrammatical devices for the projection of the authorial voice in order to identify processes of linguistic and rhetorical transference and interdiscursivity in English academic texts written by Spanish scholars. More recently, her research has focused on the study of evaluation as a feature of cultural identity in academic genres (book reviews) from an intercultural (English-Spanish) point of view.
