Oana Maria Carciu
Oana Maria
Carciu is a researcher in the InterLAE research group at the University of
Zaragoza, Spain after she has been granted a FPU Scholarship (4 years) by the
Spanish Ministry of Education in December 2009. She obtained a BA degree in
French and English Philology (University of Bucharest,
Romania) and a MA in English
(‘Master in Textual and Cultural Studies’, University of Zaragoza, Spain).
Currently she is working on her doctoral thesis within the PhD programme in
English Studies at the University
of Zaragoza. Her research
focuses on author identity and its intercultural and cross-linguistic variation
in biomedical research articles.
Her main research interests include discourse and genre analysis, corpus linguistics, intercultural rhetoric and English as a lingua franca.
